In Mexico, you can legally own real estate. There are two ways to own property

1. Fideicomiso (trust)

2. Corporation

Taxes in Mexico are much lower than many parts of North America. If you choose to generate an income in Mexico,you can expect to pay anywhere between 8%-30% income tax. Mexico does not charge income tax if income is generated outside of Mexico.

Mexico as a country is actually quite safe despite what is projected in the media. Stastically speaking, Mexican tourist destinations are much safer than many major North American cities

Mexico has universal healthcare for all its citizens and residents.That being said there are also world class private hospitals and clinics available with extremely affordable insurance plans. On average a family of four can expect to pay 1000-2000$/ yr to be fully covered medically
